The Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science course, popularly known as BNYS, is a 4.5 year course, a very good option for the candidates who wish to pursue a career in Ayurvedic or Homeopathic medicine. This course includes an integrated study of modern methods of treatment along with naturopathy. Apart from medical history and theory, the course also includes practical sessions to provide holistic education in the field of Naturopathy and Yoga. Due to the popularity of this course, people are more likely to become aware of the benefits of yoga and naturopathy.
Candidate must have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (BPC subjects) from a recognized board. Many colleges in India also require NEET score for BNYS course. Some universities also provide admission on the basis of NEET and MCAT scores.
For BNYS admission, the admission officers select the students on the basis of their performance in the entrance test. There are also some universities which conduct their own entrance examination as well. However, some institutes also offer direct admission on the basis of 10+2 (or equivalent) exam performance. These institutes do not conduct entrance test and consider the merit of the student for admission.
