BHM or Bachelor of Hotel Management is an undergraduate course. Its duration is three years which is divided into a total of six semesters. Each semester is conducted by the college at an interval of every six months. Candidates studying in this would have to do 10+2 or any equivalent course.
In most of the colleges and universities offering BHM, admission in the course is taken mainly through the entrance exam, although admission is also available in private colleges on the basis of direct and merit. In addition to this, the facility of lateral admission is also available.
In this course, students are provided with detailed knowledge about the subjects of Hotel Engineering, Food Production, Front Office Operations, Accommodation Operation, Facility Planning, Food Safety and Quality, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Communication, Computer Application, etc.
