What is BHMS Course?

Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery course is an undergraduate degree program in the homeopathic field. This degree is awarded after completing an academic program of 5.5 years which includes an academic session of 4 and 1/2 years and an internship program of one year with live practical’s. Bachelor's course in Homoeopathic System is available through distance education.

What are the Eligibility Conditions to do BHMS Course?

  • Applicants must have completed 10+2 formal education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized institute with minimum 50% marks.

  • Applicant’s age should not be less than 17 years.

  • Some universities also require candidates to clear a university level entrance exam.

For BHMS admission, the admission authorities select the students on the basis of their performance in the entrance test. There are some universities which also conduct their own entrance examination. However, some institutes also offer direct admission on the basis of performance in 10+2 (or equivalent) examination.
