The rural area of Hodal had a long felt need for a women college for imparting higher education for all round development of women..Ch. Rajender Singh a reputed leader and a renowned social worker of this region embarked on the mission of establishing a women college at Hodal with the help of enlightened and benign benefactors all renowned citizen of this area decided unanimously to dedicate this college to the memory of Maharani Kishori Devi. Hence this college was christened on Maharani Kishori Memorial KanyaMahavidhyalaya. All sections of society played an active role in establishment of this educational institute. An educational society was formed and registered under the mature leadership of Hon’ble Chairman Ch. Rajender Singh for steering the development process.

The college is housed in an impressive four storied building at a prominent location in front of Bus Stand on the G.T. Road. There is also a huge well - maintained playground with facilities for various sports. The college started functioning in 1998 with introduction of Bachelor level of Arts, Commerce and Computer Courses. The college achieved new era of excellence under the able guidance of its management committee. The motto of this college is not just academic excellence but also the all round development of personality of girls. This institution endeavours to inculcate in them strength of character apart from developing their talent potential.
